The main attraction of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Berlin is the AquaDom located in the lobby. At 25 meters high, it is the largest, cylindrical aquarium of the world. The 4-star hotel is right in the city centre of Berlin and in walking distance of Berlin Alexanderplatz, Hackescher Markt, Unter den Linden and Brandenburg Gate. It’s even possible to dive inside the AquaDom – spectacular!

The Ritz-Carlton Berlin has been built as part of the Potsdamer Platz project in the 1990s and is close to attractions such as Berlin Sony Center or the shopping center Potsdamer Platz Arkaden. While the architecture at Potsdamer Platz is very modern and sometimes spectacular, the Ritz-Calton Hotel reminds of American art deco skyscrapers that dominate the skyline of New York or Chicago. The 5-star Ritz-Carlton Hotel Berlin features around 300 hotel rooms, La Prairie Boutique Spa, Brasserie Desbrosses restaurant, a Tea Lounge and Cocktail Bar.

Located in downtown Los Angeles, the Standard Downtown, LA is a unique boutique hotel in a converted 1952, 12-story office building with a roof-top pool and 2-story lobby space. The rooms are spacious (former offices) with a transparent wall to the bathroom. There are nightly DJs at the roof-top bar and the restaurant is open 24/7, so the hotel is a popular party location.

The Steigenberger group is one of the largest and best-known German hotel groups with 35 Steigenberger-branded properties in Germany and several in Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Egypt. InterCityHotel is another, less luxurious brand of the Steigenberger group.

It is the only hotel in Europe with 2 professional music studios. Local and international DJs perform regularly at the hotel bar. The hotel has been designed to merge the cool aesthetic of late 1960’s design with the elegance of Beverly Hills. It has 107 stylish rooms with custom made furniture. The hotel hallways feature art work by fashion photographer Steven Klein. The rooftop bar and pool lounge of the Thompson Hotel offer stunning views over Beverly Hills, downtown Los Angeles and the Hollywood Hills.

The Thompson Hotel Group have 10 hotels in the U.S. and 1 in London but is expanding to Canada and Korea with properties in Toronto and Seoul. Their first project was Sixty Thompson in New York, a luxury boutique hotel which opened in 2001. All Thompson hotels are meant to attract an urban, bohemian clientele by offering “quiet luxury”.
